Instagram only allows third-party apps to access follower statistics through their official API for Business and Creator accounts. Personal accounts don't have API access to this data. This is an Instagram requirement, not ours.

Go to your Instagram app → Settings → Account → Switch to Professional Account. Choose either 'Creator' (for influencers, artists, public figures) or 'Business' (for brands, shops, services). It's free and takes about 30 seconds.

Both work with SocialMetrics. Creator accounts are designed for influencers and content creators with features like follower insights and flexible contact options. Business accounts are for brands and include shopping features. Choose whichever fits your needs.

No. You'll still post, like, comment, and use Instagram exactly the same way. You just gain access to insights and analytics. You can switch back to a personal account anytime if you change your mind.

No! As of 2024, Meta launched a new Instagram API that lets you connect with just your Instagram login. No Facebook Page required. Simply have a Business or Creator account and log in directly with Instagram.

We only access your public profile information: username, profile picture, follower count, and basic account metrics. We cannot see your DMs, private posts, passwords, or any personal content.

No. We only have read-only access to your public statistics. We cannot post, like, comment, follow, or take any actions on your account.

Go to your Dashboard and click 'Disconnect Account'. You can also revoke access directly from Instagram: Settings → Security → Apps and Websites → Remove SocialMetrics.

No. Your data is never sold or shared. Leaderboard rankings show only your username and growth stats, which you can opt out of if you prefer private tracking.

Seasons are 30-day competitions where creators compete based on follower growth percentage. At the end of each season, top performers earn badges and get featured on the homepage.

Growth is calculated as a percentage: (followers gained ÷ starting followers) × 100. This makes it fair for accounts of all sizes—a smaller account growing from 1,000 to 1,500 (50%) ranks higher than a large account going from 100,000 to 110,000 (10%).

Top 3 finishers earn exclusive badges displayed on their profile and get featured in the Season Winners spotlight on the homepage. Bragging rights included.

Yes! You can join anytime. Your growth will be tracked from when you join, but you'll be competing against others who may have had more time. For the best shot at winning, join at the start of a new season.

Stats are updated daily. Check your dashboard to see your latest follower count, growth trends, and leaderboard position.

There can be a slight delay (up to 24 hours) between Instagram's data and ours due to API sync timing. The numbers will align on the next update.

Currently, you can connect one Instagram account per SocialMetrics profile. Multi-account support may come in the future.
